Fun facts

Let’s start with your name and your first ever car?

Hi, my name is Ben Falcke and I am the managing director at Auto Parts Central. My first ever car was a Mitsubishi Sigma.

What is your everyday driver?

My current daily driver is a Ford Ranger FX4 – I’ve got it setup for camping & it’s great!

Tell me about a typical day as a Spare Parts Interpreter?

A typical day as a spare parts interpreter… Fast-paced, challenging and rewarding.

My day usually starts at 7:30 am with paperwork, including setting mine and the team’s daily tasks before we open at 8 am. From open until close at 5 pm, we’re either answering phones, helping customers, delivering orders or ordering in parts to meet our customers’ needs and demands.

What kind of problems do you deal with?

All of them, I am the boss! Haha! I deal with whatever the team cannot handle or get to. We try to not let our phones ring longer than two rings. We’re customer-focussed and try to give the best parts at the best price.

How Does Auto Parts Central differ from its competitors?

Great Customer Service, the highest integrity, quality technical advice, and staying locally-owned.

We have implemented a loyalty system and a trade discounts program. Come in store and have a chat or sign up to our newsletter to receive a free discount!

What is your all-time favorite race around Mount Panorama?

Tough question, but one that stands out in my mind is the 2014 Bathurst 1000. They had to red flag the race because the track’s tarmac had broken up into pieces!

If you had $250,000 what car would you buy?

Ohhh. I love this! This is tough!

Um…………………………………………. right now… a Mercedes E63S AMG.

A 4-litre V8 fitted with a pair of twin-scroll superchargers, pushing over 600hp and an exhaust note straight out of heaven… not to mention it does 0-100 in just over 3 seconds – it’s definitely a car I would love to own!
